Our jeep safari adventure begins with a drive through quaint traditional villages that exude old world charm. Our first stop is the Potamon Dam, a tranquil spot perfect for a quick photo session. Surrounded by lush greenery, the dam offers a tranquil contrast to the rugged terrain we’ve been driving through.
Our next stop will be the Patsos Gorge area, a spectacular natural wonder nestled in the heart of Crete’s wilderness. As we ascend to higher altitudes, the scenery becomes more dramatic, offering a bird’s eye view of the gorge that resembles a helicopter perspective. The rugged cliffs and deep gorges are home to a variety of wildlife, including the endangered Cretan vulture. These majestic birds with their impressive wingspans can often be seen soaring above the gorge, a sight that never fails to amaze visitors. The high vantage point provides ample opportunities for photography, capturing the rugged beauty of the landscape. On this stop will be able to relax and try the local drink, raki, or enjoy a cup of coffee. A refreshing break will allow us to enjoy the beauty of the gorge and its mesmerising features.
Ready to go? Our next destination is the picturesque village of Spili, famous for its Fountain of 50 Lion’s Heads that gush cold mountain water all year round. The village, with its cobbled streets and charming architecture, is a charming place to explore. The Lion Head Fountains are not only a visual treat but also a refreshing oasis where visitors can cool off. As we continue along the mountain roads, we pass through villages where time seems to have frozen. These remote places offer a glimpse of the traditional Cretan way of life, untouched by modernity.
After an adventurous morning, we arrive at Preveli Beach, one of the most beautiful and secluded spots in Crete. Surrounded by tall palm trees and crystal clear waters, the beach is a paradise for swimmers. What makes Preveli unique is the confluence of the cool mountain river and the warm sea, offering the rare opportunity to swim in both. After a refreshing dip, we walk back from the beach to enjoy a traditional Cretan meal at a nearby taverna. The delicious local cuisine, accompanied by local wine, is the perfect way to recharge after a day of exploration.
With your appetite satisfied, head back into the mountains towards Kourtaliotiko Gorge! This dramatic landscape of sheer cliffs and winding roads offers another opportunity for stunning photography. In 2025 the jeep safari on Land Rover to the mountains and the palm beach of Preveli takes place from Fodele from 01/05 to 31/10. Available tour days – on a daily basis.
Please note that trip schedules are subject to change, including cancellation. This is extremely rare and may be due to weather conditions. For example, heavy rains at the beginning (April and May) or end of the season (September and October) and other force majeure situations. If there are any changes, we will try to let you know as soon as possible.

Firstly, you can come to one of our offices where booking for all services is available and payment can be made either by cash or card.
Secondly, in case of online booking you can choose cash payment (which is available for some areas only) or you can pay online by card. In the case of cash, we will arrange a meeting with our courier in advance, who will bring the prepared documents to your hotel or villa and collect the cash. Please note that this option is only available for bookings made well in advance (days or weeks before the trip!). In case of online payment, you will receive the tickets by e-mail or WhatsApp – as you prefer.

It depends on the location of your hotel or villa. In some cases a tour bus or a Land Rover jeep will literally stop at the front door of the hotel and you just have to be there, in others it may be a short walk to the nearest pick-up point. This is usually a large central street, bus stop, square, car park, etc. – somewhere where there is no risk of the tour bus or car getting stuck on a narrow one-way street or stuck in traffic.
You will receive full details of the time and place of the pick-up with your travel documents when you make your booking. Please read it carefully before the trip.
Two models, actually. The main vehicle for the jeep safari is the Land Rover Defender 110. As a second option we also have a Mercedes 4×4 minivan – it’s a Mercedes Vito with a panoramic roof. Both vehicles have 9 seats. If you have young children with you, it may be more comfortable to choose the Mercedes Vito 4×4 instead of the Land Rover.

Yes, lunch is included. You will have a lunch during the stop near the beach of Preveli.
Bring something to protect you from the sun and swimwear for a time on the beach, a bottle of water and comfortable shoes, as you will be doing some short walks.
Yes, your driver will be also your guide. He will tell you about the places you will visit and help you with any questions you may have.
Yes, to some extent. This is more of a sightseeing jeep safari and trip to the beach. Come to have a look around, take some photos and relax!
